Julia always had an interest in the arts. Whether it was on stage singing and dancing in front of an audience or at home with a pencil in hand, she was drawn to anything that allowed creative expression.

Julia studied design and art through high school, receiving top marks for her year 12 design moderation. She went on to complete a Diploma of Multimedia (2002) in Adelaide, and returned to Mount Gambier finding work first at a magazine, then at a creative agency.

Her experience over these years, combined with support from friends and a need to step out of her comfort zone, resulted in Julia started her own business in 2014. Her work consists of branding, graphic design, everything print, websites and much more. She loves the challenge of operating a small business, and the rewards that come with it.

Since deciding to work for herself, Julia has made time to pursue her own artistic sideline, Willie Wagtail by Julia. Inspired by all things nature, Julia’s passion lies with Australia’s feathery friends. You will see her at the markets in the region selling her work showcasing Australia’s native flora and fauna. Her work has been showed at local exhibitions.

Julia looks forward to combining creative forces with the Sole Sisters, and gaining inspiration from a talented group of women.
